At CES 2025, American\nagricultural and construction equipment manufacturer John Deere showcased a range of machines featuring\nits second-generation autonomy kit. Among the highlights was the 9RX, an automated tractor equipped with\n16 onboard cameras providing a full 360-degree view. Capable of operating without a human farmer, the\n9RX can traverse fields, shift gears, and apply brakes autonomously. Other showcased innovations included\nan automated orchard tractor with second-generation autonomous technology, an automated dump truck\ndesigned for quarries, and an autonomous commercial electric lawn mower. These technologies highlighted\nJohn Deere\u2019s commitment to addressing labor shortages in the agriculture and construction industries.Kubota\nAmerica, a Japan-based industrial machine manufacturer, presented its automated tractor, KATR, which can\nbe operated using either an onboard controller or remotely without a driver\u2019s seat. Designed to maintain a\nlevel cargo deck on slopes and rugged terrain by adjusting its legs, the KATR boasts a maximum load capacity\nof 240 kg. Similar to an aircraft carrier launching jets, the van houses the\ndrone in its rear compartment, which can be deployed at the press of a button. Korean startup Nearthlab\nearned the Best of Innovation award for its next-generation unmanned and fully automated drone solution.\nBy incorporating a feature that enables drones to acquire flight permissions directly from their drone station,\nNearthlab\u2019s technology allows for rapid deployment in urgent situations. Additionally, the company introduced\na system that automates battery replacement and charging once drones return to their station and integrated\ncooling features to lower the drone\u2019s temperature after flight. Delta Air Lines, which captivated audiences by\ndelivering a keynote address and an immersive video showcasing a flight journey at the iconic Sphere in Las\nVegas, introduced its Delta Concierge service, aimed at enhancing customer travel experience.
