This emphasized the rapid approach of the robotaxi era. Among the\nnotable robotaxi displays, Google\u2019s Waymo and Zoox, a company acquired by Amazon, stood out. Waymo\nshowcased a Jaguar equipped with its 5th-generation robotaxi technology, as well as a China-based Zeekr\nmodel and the Hyundai IONIQ 5, both featuring upcoming 6th-generation technology. The 6th-generation\nsystem gained attention for overcoming limitations of the 5th generation, particularly its inability to operate\neffectively in snowy conditions. While Waymo embraced an open ecosystem approach\u2014collaborating with\nother brands similarly to its parent company Google\u2014Zoox focused on proprietary vehicle development to\nhighlight its unique robotaxi technology. Zoox\u2019s robotaxi featured a symmetrical design with no driver\u2019s seat\nor steering wheel. Instead, the vehicle accommodated four passengers, arranged with two seats facing the\nother two. Hyundai\nMobis unveiled its Holographic Windshield: Transparent Display, a technology that transforms the windshield\ninto a display screen. Replacing traditional dashboard displays, this system projects information onto the\nlower portion of the windshield glass. Using a special film made from the Holographic Optical Element (HOE),\nit efficiently displays images and videos at the driver\u2019s or front passenger\u2019s eye level while enhancing privacy.\nThis technology is expected to become commercially available by 2028.Meanwhile, U.S.-based specialty glass\nmanufacturer Corning showcased its Dynamic De\u2032cor technology, a next-generation car display innovation.\nThis system allows automotive displays to be fully concealed behind patterned surfaces, such as wood or\nleather, creating an aesthetically harmonious interior. Additionally, the technology supports curved display\ndesigns, delivering an immersive infotainment experience.
