Korean companies showcased their distinctive visions for AI ecosystems by integrating AI-driven products and services. SK Group emphasized sustainability through AI, Samsung Electronics focused on the convenience of seamless integration with its SmartThings platform, and LG highlighted proactive AI technology designed to empathize with users.

SK Group’s AI for a Sustainable Future

SK Group’s presence at CES 2025 featured several of its affiliates, including SK Telecom, SK Hynix, SKC, and SK Enmove, under the theme “Innovative AI, Sustainable Tomorrow.” Together, they showcased a vision of creating a sustainable future while advancing humanity through cutting-edge AI innovations, offering what they called a comprehensive AI total solution. Their exhibition space was organized into three key themes: AI DC, AI Service, and AI Ecosystem. The AI DC section highlighted the organic integration of SK’s data center components, including energy solutions, operational solutions, AI memory solutions, and data security solutions. Meanwhile, the AI Service section demonstrated AI services being applied across various industries closely tied to everyday life. This included solutions like Agent AI, Media AI, Commercial AI, Vet AI, Location AI, and On-Device AI. Finally, the AI Ecosystem area showcased technologies from SK’s global partners that are working to build an AI ecosystem with SK, categorized into AI infrastructure, AI solutions, and AI services

Samsung Electronics’ “AI for All”

Continuing its theme from last year, Samsung Electronics once again organized its exhibition under the banner of “AI for All.” This year, the company introduced a home AI zone, showcasing enhanced integration with home appliances through its SmartThings platform. This demonstrated how hyper-personalized AI is shaping daily AI-driven experiences. Samsung unveiled its Home AI technology through five distinct home designs: The “Efficient Home,” which prioritizes energy savings and streamlines housework with SmartThings and AI appliances; the “Health-Caring Home,” based on Samsung Health; the “Home for the Loved Ones,” enhancing family care through urgent danger response; the “Home for Productivity,” supporting learning and work; and the “New Experience Home” that displays masterpieces from world-renowned artists on TV. Additionally, SmartThings extends to mobility, envisioning a future where cars seamlessly connect with homes.

LG’s Affectionate Intelligence

LG presented its unique AI vision at CES 2025 under the theme “Life’s Good 24/7 with Affectionate Intelligence.” The company introduced its home AI system, powered by an On- Device AI Hub equipped with FURON, LG’s proprietary AI agent functioning as the “brain” of the AI home. This device, resembling a smart speaker, is equipped with a camera that observes users’ movements, communicates with nearby IoT devices, and proactively suggests devices users might need. For example, if the device detects a user drinking coffee, it might deduce that the person should be resting and adjust the lighting to create a relaxing ambiance or play soothing music, offering suggestions without requiring user input. In addition, LG expanded its user experience to mobility. The company unveiled its In-Cabin Sensing feature, which monitors the interior conditions of a vehicle and detects the driver’s status to enable safer driving experience.
